#develop (short for SharpDevelop) is a free IDE for C# and VB.NET projects on Microsoft’s .NET platform. This tool is free editor that released under GNU GPL license.
I’m trying this IDE, and hopefully can find something interesting.
The complete VS .Net is a good tool but sometimes is too big, slow, and not friendly with my old PC. I wish to write a tutorial how to use #develop someday…

My sweet daughter Lisha is suffered of cough in last 1 week :(. Last night was the most terrible suffer for her. She woke up 3 times and cried loudly…I just hope the morning is coming soon so I can take my baby to pediatric.

My mail server that rely on MDaemon 6x is spammed by mydoom. Yes, it’s a heavy attack I’ve seen. Fortunately there is no client PC and server in my network infected by this worm so far. My server catch up to 250 e-mail a day regarding mydoom

I just play around with PHP in last couple days. It’s rather dificult for me, because I never use this tool before. Usually I rely on ASP, and VB for my Job.

The mission is how to connect PHP under Linux with SQL Server under Windows machine, because my book is about Linux-Windows integration. There are alot of alternatives that can be used for this purpose, both commercially or free. Some tools are FreeDTS, Sybase interface, PHPLib, or commercial ODBC interface. I must carefully research to choose the easiest thecnique.

I have added ASP to MySQL chapter for my book. Actually this book must be finished last december, but still pending until now….
The technique is not quite different with native ASP to MS Access/ SQL Server. I just need MyODBC interface that can be downloaded for free from www.MySQL.Com.
Usually I use OLEDB to connect ASP to Access or SQL Server, and I only need replace the connection string with MyODBC. The remaining code is still the same…

After 2 weeks of part time job, I release Payroll 0.5.1 finally. I must say “part time” because I’m so busy to push ERP implementation beside this “small” toy. I write this application for my office, because there is no state of the art solution for payroll and human resources application now.
